D-DAY 2008
Invasion Of Normandy!

This years game was limited to about 3000. The actual total was 3130. This year did not fair well for the Allies. The Germans take a 4 game to 3 led over the Allies. Official scores - German-108, Allies-90.

Well, here we are again. Year 7 of the Skirmish, USA ION game.

Jeff decides to advertise on the side of his van.
And the dress code for this years game was the standard greens.

I was there too.

Things didn't start off well. Some dumbass shot a Nerf football through a piece of 1/4" plywood and ruined it for everyone. The insurance company got involved and banned all homemade bazookas, mortars, and tank cannons unless they are store bought. That ruined our whole game plan. To top it off, Skirmish decided to not inform me that if you wanted to be airborne, you had to request it when you registered. We were able to join the airborne due to open slots, but even the airborne insertion was messed up. They inserted the Germans in behind us. The back corner of the field was lacking on cover and we were massacred! I decided to take out the BAR. I had to put a different 98 into it because I could not get the old one working right. I didn’t test it out to well because I had problems firing it. The range wasn’t the best so I’m seriously looking into putting on an Apex.

They decided to swap sides of the field this year. Long story short, things didnt turn out so well.

Now we know how the Gremans felt all those years.

In the end, we had fun.

That's Jeff's son on the right. This was the only time he was around for pictures. Seamus, over my right sholder, will not be playing next year due to the fact that he will be going to Marine boot camp. I won an Autococker players pack in the costume contest.

Didn't take too many pictures this year. I was too busy playing, but there you go. Can't wait till next year.
